Poop Houdini:
Saturday night, Daisy somehow got out of her crate and came up to our room at 4 in the morning. We figure we just hadn't latched the door correctly, so Trav took her out where she booked it to the end of the yard and pooped. He put her back in her crate, latched it carefully, and came to bed. 6am she was back in our room... again she apparently had to poo.
Sunday we put her in her crate while we ran out for a few hours during the day, she was still there when we returned. That night she had to go, and was back in our room at 3am... but remained in her crate after that.
We've decided that Daisy develops super escaping powers when she has to take a poop. Not the coolest super-power, but it clearly works out for her.
We've also decided that it's really sucky when your dog changes her pooping schedule to the middle of the night.
Luckily we haven't had more night visits since then... but Daisy did come join Gwen and I this morning when we got out of bed.
On a nicer nighttime note... the Easter Treat:
The night before Easter I put Gwen into her crib at 8:30. She was still sleeping when 10 rolled around, so Trav and I hit the sack and left her in her crib. We woke to Daisy's 4am arrival... Gwen was still sacked!!!
My first thought was, "Holy crap this is awesome...", followed by, "OMG, I hope my baby is okay!!" Lol. She obviously was, and she woke at 5am, ate, then went back to sleep until 7something. It was amazing!
What a great Easter treat from our babe.
She hasn't done that again, but she did sleep for 5 hours twice since then.
Smiles:
Gwen has been smiling more and more, everyday now.
I got this the other day:
Aw, my baby.
Easter Day:
She's unsure of this whole Easter bunny character... but did enjoy visiting her Pappy that afternoon.
My To Do List:
So I was actually very productive the other day and managed to sort out and pack away all my maternity clothes. I was a little sad to see my super comfy panel-top pants go, but happy to be back in my regular clothes again!
Also from my to do list... I've decided on the Mirena. I go in less then two weeks to get it put in. Then we are good to go for up to 5 years.
Randomly Summer:
Yesterday and today the temps were up near 90*. Luckily its supposed to go back down in the next few days because damn I am NOT ready for summer weather yet. I want my pleasant, mild spring!
And on that note... I'm off to take a shower.
OMG I love the houdini story!!!! That is so crazy she gets out when she's like "have to poop.. NOW!" haha. At least you don't find a mess in the morning :) what a smart puppy!
ReplyDeleteGwen is so freaking cute hun. I LOVE that pic of her smiling at you. I can't believe she's almost 2 months already!! I still have to meet the little peanut!
I'm curious to look into what you're going to do... as much as I like what I have it's getting to be way to expensive to buy every month. Luckily my doc is really cool and I can get samples from her b/c it's so much.
And I hope today is beautiful (probably won't be that sunny) but from the rain yesterday it should go back to normal. Those few days were nice, but at the same time gave us a taste of what summer will be like in our apartment.... not looking forward to it :(
I hope you have a beautiful day!!!
